If Insomniac wasn't already busy with Spider-Man, I'd be all about them being tapped to make 1887. The first had a great setup, but the TPS aspect wasn't on par with others in the genre (no quick turn, no dedicated melee button, etc), and the werewolf fights were pure amateur hour BS. Put a good dev team in charge of that IP to see its potential.
Oh, and open world? No, not for this cranchise. Not every series needs a big sprawling map.
