No.  You may get beaten for removing it in the east , perhaps even stoned in some countries.... and in the west you will be reminded of your legal obligation.  Very different.

 

well according to huffingtonpost, and nbc news, there is reports of muslim women in the US wearing hijabs and still getting assaulted by citizens even though they have the right to wear it.
