all the things you listed and will list in the future are examples of people masking their face at home or for a few special occassions, but hyper orthodox muslim women are supposed to wear their face veils _every_time_they_leave_the_house_ - that's the difference and why it's a problem to our society (and yes, I have already seen a few women with full Chador/Niqap-dress here in Germany)

Sure, I'm having fun with it. Yet I do think reform doesn't start by outlawing certain dress codes. At leat they are coming out of the house! The result of this could easily backfire and you condem these women to be stuck inside for the rest of their lives...

Start with schools, teach kids the values of freedom of expression.
