Can't tell you. I know that I hear so often of muslim men doing something in Europe. No idea if the women wearing these veils are though, or if it's just a precaution or making it fall in line with other rules in the country.

But either way, it doesn't sound like this infringes on a religion at all anyway. The full face veil apparantly is not a requirement according to other users posting in this topic.

That's because there is no such thing called Islam. There are IslamS, however, and each Islam is followed by hundreds of millions, validating every practice in the eyes' of the followers of each one of those Islams, including wearing a stupid mask. As a result, it is a requirement for a good chunk people, cue the outcry.
