On one hand, yes I can see your point. On the other hand, I can see China not seeing your point, lol.

They are even more vindictive than the Russians and the Russians are a royal pain in the ass for the US and Europe right now. I think what will actually happen if China feels disrespected.

1.) They will start a rapid acceleration of more nuclear weapons and higher military spending in general. They are already beefing this up anyway, but look for it to increase more in the next 4 years.

2.) I would watch for (warily) an alliance with Mexico (another country not happy with Trump). Lo and behold here's China today making a huge oil deal with Mexico:

The reason why something like this should be looked upon warily ... if Mexico is "bought" by China, what happens if China starts asking for military bases in Mexico? Once they have military bases in Mexico they can easily launch attacks on the US. This is exactly how the Russia/Cuba/USA conflict turned very dangerous very quickly.

3.) China will look to funnell money to basically anyone who doesn't like the US. ISIS. Iran. China has no moral qualms with fighting dirty. That's kinda the problem I see with them.

1) Even China knows it's a stupid idea to spend a higher portion of it's GDP on WMD's if their not going to use it since they know everything will go MAD. The only war that matters to China is the economic war ...

2) It's nothing as serious as a constitutional amendment ratification you're making it out to be, just looks like a plain old business deal ...

I highly doubt the people of Mexico will easily give up it's sovereignty in favour of fattening up their account that easily to China seeing as how the country still has a good amount nationalism and financial stability. Only when will Mexico think about selling it's territories to China if the situation is as dire as Greece was or even worse ...

3) Why would China want to pour money in ISIS if they can't make a profit off of them ? And of course China has no moral qualms about fighting dirty like you say since the leaders exist to serve it's own country hence why they think imperialism and colonialism is a good thing in the long run ...
