The misinformation warfare this election was particularly strong and concerning. It's become impossible to have a conversation with our fellow citizens because everyone seeks out information from sources that confirm their biases regardless of the legitimacy of the source. "News" outlets are purposefully releasing absurd stories with the knowledge that their information won't be vetted by the majority of people, and statistics show most people believe the stuff. Trying to stay properly informed is practically a full time job these days since there's a complete lack of integrity amongst any of these groups releasing information. I guess this has always been happening, but the internet seems to make it happen absurdly fast to where it's impossible to keep up. No idea what we can do about it either, other than continually inform the people around us. Endlessly....
