It really is, but it doesn't translate to 2D video. Looks boring in that you tube video. I tried to make my own video of Area X and the main game and deleted them. It's impossible to capture the scale and feeling of playing Rez in VR.
The free demo for Rez isn't great either, but at least it has one. Most VR games only have a 2D video to give you an idea what they're like.
I can't stop playing DC VR, reached #23 on the leaderboard last night. Instant restarts, one more go, too addictive to beat challenges. The sensation of speed with the control to hit the apex mere inches from the curb in VR is simply awesome. Most satisfying racing experience ever. Plus it's so nice to sit in all the different luxury cars.
Too bad it's doesn't pit VR against 2D racers online. It would be interesting to see if there's a real advantage. The active player base is so small I keep running into the same few people online, if you can get a race at all. I guess it's not possible as the grid size is reduced to max 8 in VR. At least the people playing are good at it and try not to hit you in the corners.
