Maybe.That one still needs to be seen.If the Switch is capable enough to port most games to it, then I would say its a no-issue not being more powerful than PS4, for the trade off it gives.And I would hardly call the portability a gimmick.Its a good feature, and I personally like much more than Nintendo simply making a box that the only advantage it has is raw power.We already have two of them, which both have/will have two revisions.Thats enough in my opinion.

That will be a double edged sword is the problem. 3rd parties won't think twice about porting a game that's a sloppy port while docked and practically unplayable in handheld mode. And it seems for every bit of praise it gets, it's also followed up by statements such as "it's gonna be great for the family" and "we want to approach making games that best fit for the Switch" all the while a ton of major 3rd party games are announced with no Switch version.

 

As a Nintendo fan I hope this time next year I'm eating crow.
