I do have a love-hate relationship with the Wii. On one side, I feel that the motion controls are, IMO, just gimmicks, and that the graphics suck. On the other side, I appreciate it's appeal to non-gamers-- it's a good ice-breaker for visitors (and everyone who sees it wants to have one).

I guess my problem is matching. Eventually, people will have tastes and have preferences for certain types of games. I feel that the Wii doesn't offer me much. The games I want right now are either on the PS3 or 360. I guess what frustrates me more is that the Wii is only the current gen system that I have.

I usually don't jump on the bandwagon. But I did with the Wii. I had lots of expectations on the motion controls, but realized it was half-baked (but still hoping Star Wars will prove me wrong). I also question the longevity of the games-- after the novelty has worn off, the games aren't interesting to play anymore (but then again, you can argue this case for 360 and PS3 games, too).

Somewhere out there, there's this person who loves every minute playing with the Wii. That person and the Wii have perfect match.

Not for me, though.
