Thanks!I really appreciate the fact that you took the time to read it!

And yeah, it is a heaven for JRPGs lovers, especially now that it seems that its making a comeback. But its not like Sony needs to make that much of an effort to get those games on its system.Nintendo failed this gen on the home console front, and Microsoft is making zero effort to trying to get those games to at least port for the XBox, not to mention that there is not much of an audience there for those games. So the developers kind of make the games for the PS4 by default.Yes, some of them are starting to come to Steam, but they always come to PS4 dfirst, and almost always first on it.

Maybe that will change with the Switch, but only time will tell!

MS most likely no longer cares about JRPGs that aren´t main entries of Final Fantasy games.Last gen they tried to make the 360 the home of JRPGs on home consoles with hopes it could finally perform at least decently in Japan but it made very little impact.

Well, yeah, but it isnt a good excuse to stop trying.Scalebound is a good start, but one game wont make a difference. If they contempt themselves with only a part of the market with no intention of expanding to other genres or other types of games, they will eventually become less and less relevant, simply because the competition will do a better job.The process of winning over japanese developers wont happen overnight, its long and painful process. They need to keep trying. And if they cant, they really need to compensate that with more new and exciting games.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
