Boy, I just love the mindset of "Oh, they're just fatcats, now, they don't know." Was Nolan North, or Brad Pitt for that matter, born an actor? Were they just put on a bunch of games and movies for no reason other than his birthright? Or did they work their asses off to get to where they are? I'll give you a hint, it's the last one. And if they had to work their asses off to get to where they are, then so should others have to. It shouldn't just be given to them. This is the problem. The minset of give me, give me without the work. That and unions are now only concerned with giving their members higher pay and benefits just so they can make more money from union dues, even if in the end it costs their members jobs when the company goes elsewhere or shuts down. |
LOL good lord, that has to be the most off-base tangent I have ever seen in a retort on teh Chartz, which is saying a lot. Where did I say they don't know what it is like to be a smaller and struggling artist? Not all actors forget their roots. Where did I say or imply Nolan or Pitt did not work their butts off to get to where they are? I'll give you a hint, I didn't. And even if I had, who gives a shit? It's irrelevant to the point.
You are apparently oblivious to the idea of progress. Just because such and such person had to come up in certain conditions doesn't mean the next in line should. Or that the next person in line is somehow wrong for expecting to be treated differently. I don't think you really have a clue what is going on in the strike, who exactly is saying "give me give me without the work"? They want what they think is fairer compensation for their work.. not compensation for no work :)
