The company was formed in 1999 by Tetsuya Takahashi shortly after the completion of the first game he was in charge of at Squaresoft - Xenogears

You do realize since they were bought they've only made games for Nintendo platforms? Don't get your point with the other parts of your post because he's right XCX is exclusive because Nintendo own the rights, the series wasn't even going to have the Xeno name in it to begin with, it was going to be called Monado but Nintendo changed it to Xenoblade to honour Takahashi.
