Anyway, looking at this objectively, the situation is kind of interesting in that it's not really all that interesting. What Carrier got from Indiana is pretty standard. All States were doing that kind of thing now and it would have been handled by the State and not Trump. Smart move to give all the credit to Trump, though, as it gifts him with a lot of good-will.
What we know about Trump's influence seems to be mostly speculation, at this point. A lot of people are guessing that his role was mostly some "arm-twisting". That seems to be the reason many economic conservatives are upset with Trump.
Seriously, this is going to be a very interesting period. Are the Republicans in Congress going to go along with Trump adding more regulation to trade? Are they going to be supportive of his more old-school Democrat approach to restricting the economy? I'm guessing they will, because they'll be afraid to go against popular opinion, even though Wall Street and many lobbyists will pitch an absolute fit.
