Yeah, I saw the whole thing (and read the manga), and like I said Death Note isn't too bad about sticking to a formula. Light is still the protagonist, despite his dark nature. The protagonist doesn't have to be on the SIDE of good, just has to be the main focus of the story. And yeah, One Piece's only major flaw is a cyclical story line, though that cycle can be adjusted quite a bit (as happened in the last arc). |
Ok... but you said "bad boy" hero. You also said DEM....so were you talking about Death Note or animes in general?
And another reason I find Death Note intriguing is the actual confrontations. It's more like a drama than typical action anime's that are so popular.
