He saved what 1000 jobs ? the taxes they pay on spending it and the gov not having to support them with EI or welfare once fired pretty much makes that 7m look like nothing in the grand scheme of things. For sake of arguemnt at 30k a year he just ensured 30 million stays in the local economy, their basic sales tax pf 7% will mean 2m returns to the gov. If any one has a bunch legitamete numbers you could really dive in hard and figure just how well worth that 7m tax cut was.
