Im not sure if hes against the VA that are on strike, or just means to say programmers/artists for said games should also get paid better? Programmers are treated horribly too in the game industry, worse than VA's are, and they work longer/harder. Alot of people getting a education as a programmer, are being told dont do it for the money, or the easy work, you wont get paid anything and will be worked to death doing it. Reality is unless your extremly passionate about it, gameing isnt what most programmers aim for, because its a rough ride. |
I think that he was talking about some of the things the striking actors are asking for. For example, IIRC they are asking for a pourcentage of the games revenue, which seems completely unfair when, as Nolan North said, their performance is small compared to the developers, and the developers can't have any pourcentage of the revenue.
I don't think he's against the VAs on strike, just that they should remember that they are not alone, and they can't ask anything like kings when they're just one link of the chain among many others.
