FFX can't be extrapolated to be the whole series. Though even FFX had the world in constant agnst. Most were religious people and pretty brainwashed to think they deserved Sin.
Say in FF6 the whole world changes after a big event. In FF7, 8 and 9 NPC's would react after big events. Places would change even.
