FFXV actually have cats, I remember they did an animals trailer last year and one of the parts of the trailer was a room filled with cats, aka, the best place in the whole game.
But they present a image with 2 dogs and 0 cats, so yeah, it sucks! If it at least had a dragoon somewhere there... but it doesn't!

Dogs > cats though.

The games have quite a following thanks to the atmosphere and quirky humour. For instance when you find an unconscious girl in Disaster Report 2.
