BF deals are to be 0 margin or sold at loss to either renew inventory, attract customers or thank for the sales that year.

But Sony isn't getting retail prices for each PS4 sold. I wouldn't be shocked if they sold them to retailers at cost.

I wouldn't be surprised if they sold at loss because Sony said multiple times that on the HW their priority is volume not profit. And retail stores have very little if any margin on console HW.
