The solo mode is decent. It's definitely not as fun as online but I've had a good time playing it split-screen with my brother. The AI typically allows you to hop in a lot more vehicles and play as the heroes if you want to, which is much more difficult to do online. 

So if I were to pick this up for like $10 and sit to play with my daughter, it should be a pretty good experience.  You'd think?
