because it is a short term peak. Peak is usually referred to as the number totally year for a console.
So peak early like the Wii which peaked in its 2nd full year, I believe the PS4 peaked in 2011 which was its 5th. Back when gens were 5 years the peaks was usually the 3rd year (large library built, usually 1 or 2 price drops by that point, support dead for old gen). I could see 2017 being the peak for the PS4. If the price point stays low (249). 2016 might be the peak if this holiday is gangbusters.
