Wanna hear something crazy? RotTR is available now on PSN for $20 less than what I paid. I shouldn't have I so impulse. 😞

As for PSVR, it's still awesome. I'm just looking for the next game to come out and wow me. It's only as good as it's software. Unfortunately, as good as some of the software and immersion is, the best gaming experiences are found on TV screens with controller in hand.

There's a million advantages to using VR for certain types of games but developers need motivation to go that route. I'm not sure if that's happening or if it's just going to be the home of cheap shovelware.

I think I'll close out 2016 with Dead Rising 4 (XBO)and RIGS (PSVR). MAYBE The Last Guardian if it reviews well.

*Edit* oh... Did I mention that I bought an Xbox One S, last night? Storm Grey Battlefield One version. But THAT'S IT. I'M DONE!

lol "Did I mention?"!!

What for?! You already had an Xbox One! What are you gonna do with the old one?

I bet you have a really good plan for that. "Oh, but it's so good to have a second console in that other room when my sister's children come over", or something like that.
(Battlefield One though, what a game!! I could almost justify buying a separate console for that game. Simply incredible.)

But back to VR. "the best gaming experiences are found on TV screens with controller in hand", doesn't that mean VR is a fad?

How many hours do you estimate you have spent on VR games in the 3-4 weeks you've had it now?

VR will be a fad if companies don't put AAA content on it. If they don't push it as far they can, it will die a slow death. If they make Call of Duty or Uncharted for VR or, at least, give the option to play the whole game in VR, the format will thrive. If it's only the home for "PS1graphics" style games and gimmicky party games, it won't.

I see a new $20 game like Carnival Games every few days. I don't see games like Robinson: The Journey nearly as often. We'll have to see if games like Resident Evil 7 make an impact. And goddamit, Sony. Give us some sales figures!
