Well, of the two things I bought (a new graphics card and my brother's X-mas present), I needed both of them.
The graphics card because the one I have is failing and it also no longer meets the min req for new games. Thanks to the sale, I managed to get a better card than the one I would have gotten without it.
As for my brother's present, I would have bought it anyway and, while I didn't save any money from the purchase because it wasn't on sale, it had a 30% cashback deal that means I'll be able to purchase a 20 € Steam card for almost nothing for the next Steam Winter sale.
