I take it English is not your first language. Bernie Sanders is actually the only credible candidate who will do anything for the working class. Trump is a phony who picked up on the populist rhetoric because he's a salesman. That's what he does. He tells people what they want to hear to close the deal. His cabinet appointments already betray that. Trump is the most unpopular president to be elected in modern history, he lost the popular vote by 2 million and he turned the Rust Belt sure, but the margin was a razor thin one, those areas are pro-union, lets see how they react once they realize a lot of what Trump shovelled was bullshit. "Fact is" actually I think most Americans agree on many key issues. Notably: 1.) The ultra rich should pay more taxes. 2.) There should be tighter immigration, but there should be amnesty for immigrants already here. Get them legal and paying tax. People don't want families ripped apart. 3.) Let gays marry. 4.) Let those who want to smoke pot, smoke pot. Tax it. The "war on drugs" is a colossal failure. 5.) Americans want universal, single payer health care. Health care is a right, not a privelege. 6.) Abortion is regrettable, but should be legal. These are issues that have majority backing in the US. The conservatives are the ones on the losing side of every one of these, a Trump presidency doesn't change that, it only delays certain things for 4-8 years. |
Oh good lord. Bernie is so credible, he ran to back the most 'establishment' candidate he possibly could (And then subsequently had enough money for his 500,000$ beach house). Trump said it best, Bernie can see what the problems are (The middle class being hosed) but doesn't have the slightest clue how to fix it. Bernie would have lost too because a vast majority of the country is not going to elect a socialist.
"Free CollegeTuition!!!"
"When you're white, you don't understand poverty"
"Fact is"
- The Ultra Rich already pay a vast, vast bulk of the taxes. I don't think they should pay more. I think the government should spend less.
- I don't care about families being 'ripped apart' , when someone gets taken to jail for being involved in a crime, it rips their family apart too, should we not put criminals into jail who have families?
- Gays already can get married --- this election hasn't changed that.
- War on drugs against Pot? Failure sure (Again nobody really was changing this). War on all drugs, absolutely not. Heroin has destroyed many portions of this country and it's getting worse.
- Healthcare isn't a "right". By your notion, food is a right, shelter is a right, a "job" is a right. Get real. Healthcare is too expensive, but it's not a "right". Many people just saw the fundamental flaw of socialism. The cost only goes one direction. I take it English isn't your first language with the way you butchered privilege?
- Abortion is pretty split down the middle. Late term abortion is pretty universally against by most people though. "The fetus has no constitutional rights" - Clinton didn't seem to get that memo.
Been listening to the "Conservatives are on the wrong side of __________" forever. Just like Trump "can't win" for 18 months. You're wrong, you've been proven wrong and it's pretty straight-forward.
