Is that an emulator? Because theres no actual HD port of that game. Just the cut-scenes.

Anyways, i don't know. Would that kind of minimal work really do it for you? I do think gamefreak has higher standards than that. Anyways, we have heard rumors and wishes for a console mainline pokemon for decades. I just can't believe a rumor. I'm gonna have to see proof. So, i'll believe it when i see it.

Yeah, that's on an emulator. No one created new high res textures for the game to look like that, but simply allowed the high res textures that were already there to be played at their native resolution. I saw the same improvements for other DS games on that emulator as well, as long as they have 3D models.

And I think you may have misunderstood what I meant about minimal work for Gamefreak. I was just refering to the part you said about turning Sun/Moon into HD. Usually the third version of Pokemon games have the same, or very similar, graphics to the original. (I think Crystal supported Gameboy Color while Gold/Silver didn't.) So when you mentioned turning it into HD as a form of obstacle for them that may take a lot of time, I pointed out that higher res 3D assets are already in the game, as it's easier to work that way when designing textures, and just let the limitations of portable hardware scale them down afterwards.

In other words, it's not a lot of extra work for them at all to have Sun/Moon become HD since they've already made those assets.
The difference with this rumor is that Switch is a fully portable system, which none of the previous consoles were. So it makes a lot of sense.

I think that a Nintendo title for the switch can't look half assed. Even if its a mainline. I still strongly believe its a spin-off of some sort (even the name itself would make sense if it was Star, not Stars). We will have to see.

Look not saying its impossible, i'm saying i'm not gonna jump on the hype train without seeing proof because i've been let down many a times.
