IMO it's necessity for Nintendo to port these games, Multiplayer on the Switch would be so dry if we had to wait for new installments of these key franchises.

Wii U owners need to consider the health of the next platform.

Staggering ports and offering more new experiences out the gate would have been a far better choice. Doing a hail mary move with all their ports at the beginning of the game screams droughts to me, as they don't have any games after two years of prep + from their studios.

I mean if we look at the 5 year development cycle of LoZ games (and botw had a what... 7 year cycle), and know the cross gen BOTW isn't coming until a year in, we can conclude Switch won't get its own LoZ. Nintendo needs to find a way to decrease development time from their games. They really needed to merge and acquire.

We will have ports and new expariance like with PS4 and XB1 also. Actualy this reamsters will help that Switch dont have any software drouth. Why you assume they dont have any games after two years of prep + from their studios!? I am pretty sure we will see plantey of new games on 12. January.

We can have new Zelda in around 2020. if Nintendo use asets and engine of BotW, same like they done with Majoras Mask using Ocarina of Time asests and engine. IMO we will se new Zelda on Switch in any case, probably similar like Wii had TP at begining and SS at end. Zelda is exception if we talk about development time of Nintendo games, and Nintendo already find way to release more game and to have more support than before, all their teams will make games just for one platform.
