/Sarcasm. I could point out several featuress that Sony has copied from M$ and Nintendo just as easily as I could point out several things that M$ had copied from Nintendo and Sony (and summer things I WISH they WOULD copy!). And I could do the same for Nintendo. And I could point out several things that are totally unique amongst all three companies. A lot of things all companies do are in response to their fans and market demand.

AA batteries are supposed to be a good thing?

Not at all--even though one of my old PS3 controllers refuses to hold a charge (though, admittedly none of my Xbox 360/Wii charge and play kits still work--i use Energizer rechargeables, now). I was just pointing out things that they did differently or first since, according to the post I quoted, everything M$ does is a direct response to Sony.
