Considering the only arguable downside to the Xbox One is it's lack of power, I really don't see any reason why the Scorpio wont be a huge success. Well, assuming they don't launch it at $599. If they can get this machine out next fall at around $400, I think it's going to surprise (and anger) a lot of people. Microsoft just can't make the same mistakes Sony has with the PS4 Pro.

I'd wager that library is a way bigger factor here than power. I kinda doubt that the Scorpio will sell any more than the X1. Don't forget that to be a bigger success it has to convince people who already planned to get a PS4 to get an Xbox instead. Lst time I checked console buyers aren't really after power. People who actually care about that power might as well get a PC since there is barely any difference between that and an Xbox now. So which demographic do you think the Scorpio will capture besides people who already are Xbox fans?

So now power isn't a factor anymore?  What about the 3 straight years of 50% more power?  720/900p vs 1080p?  That goes out the window now that Sony will be the weaker of the 2?

When the PS4 launched it's library was embarrassing.

The reason why I (and I'm sure many others) switched from Xbox to PlayStation at the launch of this new generation wasn't because of the library, it was because the multiplatform games all looked and preformed better on Sony's console and they still do.

I bought a PS4 Pro on launch day for the same reason.

The Scorpio gives people like me, and many others, a reason to go back to Microsoft and experience the games we've missed over the past 4 years.  That alone I think will make the Scorpio a successful console (As long as they don't price it out of the market).

I know that this is a very anti Xbox forum, but let's be real here.  If the PS4 had been 50% weaker than the Xbox One at launch, things would have played out very, very differently.
