I'm glad you're on our side, SvennoJ. You're a very knowledgeable and articulate guy. You express your point of view without being condescending or elitist. A rare quality in this day and age.

Thanks, too bad there are sides, but that is to be expected, with every new tech there is resistance. I was against 3D cinema too, just a gimmick, will be gone in a year or two again. Guess what, it's still here. I still don't like it but it has been adopted by the masses, and 2D movies are still here too!

Perhaps people feel threatened that what they're used too is going away. It won't, VR is simply another form of entertainment. 2D games are still thriving, Nes classic is a hit, there's room for all.

For me it came right on time. I was getting pretty bored with AAA games. Just more ways to kill or not kill with better graphics. Games have become very comfortable nowadays, control schemes are pretty much all the same, gameplay mechanics are well established with only minor refinements. Genres are getting mixed and matched together to create the ultimate one game fits all open world. Nothing wrong with that yet the joy of seeing something new was kinda gone, with VR the magic is back, back to feeling like a kid again.

I waited too long in the 90's, making up for it now.
