You know, I have the same troubles. I want to get a new 4k tv with hdr and 60". Budget is around 2000€. Now doing some research I've noticed that some manufacturers are still bullshitting their customers. HDR is a good examples. You got HDR10, HDR pro HDR1000 and dolby vision.
To be able to be certified for hdr you need a 10 bit capable panel. Dolby vision is capable of 12 bit panels. But, I've noticed that the samsung series 7 panels which are also certified for hdr only use 8 bit panels. How so? The have a feature to switch a pixel between 2 colors very fast so it appears as it would be a 10 bit panel. I don't want shit like that. But a lot of research is needed to figure this out.
I want to plug my PC via hdmi 2 on the tv.
But I still havn't found a good device. So...any recommendations?
