Well, when you want to be nice to someone, you need to start somewhere right?

This is probably just Nintendo being humble and, if you really wanna just see the business side of this, free PR.Making things that are news worthy will give you free marketing and more brand awareness. This kind of act of niceness will make people that are both Nintendo fans and Microsoft fans(and more hardcore gamers in general) talk about it, how Nintendo was nice, how there is actually a conspiracy and that nintendo is going to Nuke MS headquarters and all.I mean, it made you do this thread, didnt it?It may sound silly, and evenunnecessary, as in that a small nod to XBox 15 year anniversary wont make Nintendo more relevant, but every news in its favor count.Especially with the Switch comming.

Or do it just like me, and see the positive side of things and think that Nintendo is simply being nice. This is one of few industries that rival companies actively gives "presents" to each others, congratulate others for its achievements, and praise great persons within the industry even if they are their direct rival(See Iwata as an example)

It is a little strange though that Sony seems to get no love from Nintendo, lol. No NES Mini for Playstation HQ? No congrats on 20 Years of Playstation?

I think something might be up. I know some people are going to fight tooth and nail against the idea, but I think a Nintendo-MS partnership does make considerable sense if Switch type hardware is all Nintendo is really interested in making any more.

Well, who knows? But with the Switch announcement as its next home console, and no Microsoft partnership announced, its next to impossible for that to happen. Not that it wasnt the same situation before, mind you.I know you are a defender of this, and even did a (horrible.Sorry, had to say lol) proposal of what each could benefit from the deal, but since we know how Nintendo works and japanese companies in general, that will never happen.

About Sony, well the 20 year anniversary was about 2 years ago and well, much has changed since.Nintendo is not in the best position now, and back then they still hoped for the Wii U great comeback to greatness. So, they got more humble?Plus Nintendo was always more "aggressive" towards Sony than MS, due to Sony being its direct competitor in Japan and the whole Sony-Nintendo partnership.I just think you are reading too much into this

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
