PS1 and PS2 succeeded off of 3rd party more than their own games. I wouldn't even look at Mariom F-Zero, Sly, Spyro or Jak and Daxter again in terms of 1st party. I play Persona 3 and Xenogears yearly though. I loved all the JRPGs from the PS1 and PS2 era. I love them now as well. I don't think Sony is dull at all. I think now that high budget AAA games are the norm we're getting disappointing with the offerings. Quite the contrary opinion for me though. I'm disappointed in M$ and Nin10do and probably won't buy hardware from them again. I like 3rd party more than 1st party, always have. So as long as Sony Japan and the 3rd parties keep putting out games, I'll keep gaming.
