4K UHD blu-rays with HDR or 4K Netflix with HDR working is no guarantee either. The 4K HDR mode of the ps4 asks a lot of the tv.
In comparison: 4K UHD discs use a 10 bit 4:2:0 24hz signal, ps4 pro a 10 bit 4:4:4 60hz signal, 2.8 Gbps vs 13.9 Gbps

- Not all HDMI ports on 4K tvs and receivers are the same
- HDR is a manual setting on a lot of TVs
- A lot of 4K HDR tvs were actually only HDR ready and still need a firmware update, update everything
- Try a direct connection (no receiver in between)
- Check cable, remove splitter (see the difference in bandwidth need for movies and pro visuals)
- Final resort, switch the ps4 to HDCP 1.4 in safe mode (item 6)

It's HD ready time all over again. Manufacturers are just putting tvs out claiming they can do stuff that they might be abble to patch in later. A friend of mine has also been duped with a 4K Oled tv from LG. Doesn't actually support HDR.

It took me almost 8 hours to decide which TV I wanted to buy. Even then, the one I got only supported 4K HDR on two HDMI ports. A lot of people are in for some disappointment unless they do their research.
