Nato is a military force comprised of some EU nations. They do not dictate economic policies in the union or to other European countries.

Opportunistic businesses in Europe would steal the moment to acquire Chinese made goods and resell them in the US. Would US impose sanctions on them as well?

Those european countries will then get no protection from United States which means they will get taken over and have their economy and nation destroyed. Russia would love to take over some of those EU countries.
