I sincerely doubt that people 'claimed power wasn't important' when being forced to defend their choice of console. I can't imagine anyone gloating that their console had a slightly less powerful GPU, for example. "Suck it, buddy: my system can't do as many polygons!" If they did, they aren't who I'm talking about. I just hope we can move to a time where console choice alone doesn't prompt factions to make other factions defensive.
