What are you talking about man? You were saying the public already have WRPG to play and I'm waiting to see how that impact what a JRPG like FF XV would do. We have seem time and again the big step of sales on japanese games between sony and ms

I'm telling you the game plays like a WRPG. Final Fantasy XV is a WRPG in all but origin (and main cast design)...

Metal Gear Solid is, maybe after Resident Evil, the most  desirable Japanese game for the Xbox's instalbase.

You seems to compare Final Fantasy and Fallout a lot. The fun of Fallout, what makes it enjoyable, is that you start the game as a random guy without a name or voice, with the freedom to do everything and a big focus on Gameplay.

In Final Fantasy you play as Noctis, an ex-prince and leader of a J-Pop band in order to solve the problems of the plot. Here the plot is the most important thing and you will only be able to explore the parts of the world that the game allows depending on what level of the story you are.

You keep comparing Fallout and Final Fantasy, but Final Fantasy's sales  can stand by its own while Fallout can't.

The only reason why Fallout 4 sold more than Fallout 3 is because Fallout was always less popular than Elder Scrolls and that Skyrim fans(the over 20-21 millions of people) had 4 years of dry and they were seeking something like Skyrim.

Fallout 4 would have sold very well by its own, but majority of its sales now are because of Skyrim. It is an exception and should not be considered as a metric. Not every game has such success in a series of the same genre.

The last game Final Fantasy released was FFXIII which sold less than the previous games. There is no reason, no previous game like Skyrim or hype for the game to be successful on the Xbox One.

By the way. Skyrim sold more on the Xbox 360 ,but ,even with marketing deal Fallout 4 sold more on the PS4.

We will see a drop where the Xbox One is unable to sell like it did with the Xbox 360.

Really, people I know often prefer Dark Souls, though they say MGS V was great. As a whole, I'd say the demographic is shifting as MGS actually seemed to decline in popularity on the Xbox consoles (and the original Xbox apparently had more sales proportionate to the PS2)...

Also, for the comparisons, allow me to remind you this game is an open world game by Tabata's own admission. The only difference is the insane amount of customization and The Witcher III lacked it yet the game sold rather well. As for F4, why bring Fallout 3? Fallout 3 by itself was pretty popular. The Fallout series as a whole has been popular for a while now.

So you're telling me no game has been successful on the Xbox One? You must think I am some kind of hick. I'd rather point out actual AAA RPGs with an story haven't done horribly on the XBO compared to the PS4. The Dark Souls games usually did one third of the sales. Considering very mainstream games usually do half, I'd say it's a pretty decent line unless the game flops everywhere...

And Skyrim had the advantage of not having to run on the PS3 without compromises. This led the game to sell Xbox bundles, promote the brand's exclusives and most importantly, it released in a console in a head to head with the PS3 unlike the current Sony console gap...

I definitely see a skewed sales ratio, but nothing like Type 0. Probably one third or one fourth of the sales.

Decent, to say the least.

There isn't a game more Japanese than Persona. I wish we had a Xbox One version for sales comparison.

Dear god no!

I said that Japanese games aren't successful on the Xbox. Final Fantasy is a franchise that survived with exclusivity for consoles until their 12 main game, they would not be able to survive if it was a Xbox exclusive.

Not even Open World games sell well on the Xbox One, Fallout 4 is an exception because of Skyrim and that Bethesda has a great partnership with Microsoft, Bundle Mods and a lot of other things.

Even the polish franchise The Witcher, which had games for the PC and Xbox, sold almost 4 millions for the,  but only 1.3-1.4 millions for the Xbox One.
