It will be interesting. Personally, I think the series should end with Kojima, much like Halo should end with Bungie.
I think anyone but Kojima would try to turn MGS into a straight action game and that doesn't fit the series IMO. As much as I bash Kojima's postmodernist ramblings in MGS, some of it is kinda charming if you don't take it seriously (Liquid Ocelot, for example).
