it seems odd that the only person who wanted to be mayor besides a 70 year old incumbant was a 19 year old kid.
This must a pretty small town.
And yes, the minimum age of the president is 35. This came from the constitution, I believe. Back then, being 35 years was considered pretty old, since the average life expectancy was around 50 or 60.
