On the controller jack, probably X1 copied the DS4 to offer more comfort for its users.

Not sure but both the wiiU pro and x1 has really good battery life so I don't think it should be that much. The controller itself is basically the same as the regular ds4 with some slight improvements so the parts should cost less by now than what they initally costed.

Well, the controller is quite cheap to make, probably 10-15 bucks.

And battery life of X1 controller you are talking about the AA or the rechargable set that you buy separated?
