http://www.pcgamer.com/sombra-is-now-live-on-the-overwatch-ptr/
The latest Overwatch update is now live on the public test realm, and yes, the hacker extraordinaire Sombra has finally joined the action. The Overwatch Arcade is open for business (in the PTR), giving players a new way of digging into a variety of Overwatch game modes, the new Ecopoint: Antarctica arena map is playable, and as always there are a handful of tweaks and bug fixes in the mix as well.

THE VANILLA WORLD OF WARCRAFT SERVER NOSTALRIUS IS RETURNING UNDER A NEW NAME
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-vanilla-world-of-warcraft-server-nostalrius-is-returning-under-a-new-name/
The vanilla WoW private server Nostalrius went offline back in April, following the receipt of a cease-and-desist letter from Blizzard. Shortly thereafter, the leaders of the Nostalrius team met with Blizzard honchos including CEO Mike Morhaime and executive producer J. Allen Brack to discuss the whys and wherefores of the shutdown. Despite the seeming finality of the situation, it was clear that enthusiasm and hope for some kind of vanilla WoW experience remained, ideally one officially supported by Blizzard.

EARLY WARCRAFT GAMES WON'T BE REMADE AS THEY'RE 'NOT THAT FUN ANYMORE'
http://www.pcgamer.com/early-warcraft-games-wont-be-remade-as-theyre-not-that-fun-anymore/
As Tom learned at BlizzCon this weekend, the original Diablo is being remade in Diablo 3—with production director John Lagrave citing a love of the series' roots as his team's main drive for doing so. For those of you hoping for similar treatment regarding the first Warcraft and Warcraft 2, Blizzard has all but shut the idea down.

THE WILD EIGHT TRAILER SHOWCASES CO-OP SURVIVAL IN SOME VERY DARK PLACES
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-wild-eight-trailer-showcases-co-op-survival-in-some-very-dark-places/
The Wild Eight is an isometric survival game set in the snow-socked wilds of Alaska, as envisioned through a lens of The X-Files, or perhaps Stranger Things. You've got all your usual mortal perils to deal with—cold, hunger, wild animals—but there's something else going on, too. Something sinister.

THE ENDLESS FOREST: SECOND DECADE HOPES TO BRING BACK THE MAGICAL DEER SIM
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-endless-forest-second-decade-hopes-to-bring-back-the-magical-deer-sim/
The Endless Forest is an odd sort of multiplayer game in which people become magical deer, with mostly-human faces, and roam through a magical forest. There are no quests, no conflict between players, and not even any direct interaction. Communication is limited to gestures and sounds, and even player "names" are unique pictographs rather than words. It was the first game made by Tale of Tales, which recently had a bit of a rough go with Sunset, and after ten years of operation the studio is now looking to rejuvenate it.

Rainbow Six Siege will gets its fifth and final content drop later this year in the form of Red Crow, which focuses on the Japanese Special Assault Team. The update will add two new operators in the form of Hibana and Echo (we know this, because it leaked last week), as well as the Skyscraper map, which – naturally enough – takes place in a large building somewhere in Japan.

EVE ONLINE TEASES NEW FEATURES AHEAD OF FREE-TO-PLAY LAUNCH NEXT WEEK
http://www.pcgamer.com/eve-online-teases-new-features-ahead-of-free-to-play-launch-next-week/
Last week, I spoke of our resident EVE Online raconteur Steven Messner's proclivity for consistently uncovering fascinating tales within the game's space world, and he's since produced yet another. It's these very stories which make me consider taking the plunge with CCP's ambitious MMO, and, if you happen to be on a similar boat/vessel yourself, next week might be a good time to do so.

http://www.pcgamer.com/xcom-2-adds-controller-support/
It's been a long time coming, but XCOM 2 now has controller support on PC.
Courtesy of the latest patch—Patch 7—the sci-fi-inspired turn-based strategy game now supports both Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers as standard—while alternate controllers may need "additional user adjustments" in order to function.

In 2012, Mojang teamed up with the United Nations to launch Block by Block—an initiative that funds public spaces in less well-off communities around the world, and offers young people the chance to influence urban planning by way of recreating real world areas in Minecraft.
