I wanted the PS3 more, but it was more expensive and yeah, piracy was still playing a hand. I ended up holding until I could get the PS3 and all games I wanted for reasonable prices, the games where clearly always a no contest, but the feels like LoD Lost Odyssey really made me consider xD, but I knew I couldnt get a PS3 if I picked it. About the MS, if I remember well it sold better here than the whole RoW combined (NA, EU, JP), Brazil was the actual reason the system got some relevancy nowdays, and I sure loved mine. Even damn Senna was holding Sonic trophies after winning a gp, Sega and TecToy were the shit here back in the day, and that made Sega downfall hurst us even more... XC |
Yes, I was a Sega fanboy at that time. And Senna's Monaco GP was a true great game. I wouldn't doubt MS here doing better than most places.
About PS3, my girlfriend (now wife) had a travel to Canada and brought me a PS3, around 8-10 games and a guitar hero world tour bundle with guitar and drumm for all with 3 years of international warranty for something like 500-700 canadian that was not more than 2000 reais. I don't remember the value right, but it was a lot less than what would cost in Brazil, perhaps it was closer to 1 thousand.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"
