It is a Samsung KU6290. I was thinking about the KS8000 but I was like neh, HDR is all over the place so its better to get something cheaper for now and then later on get something great when HDR gets all sorted out.

I havn't really bought any games that are HDR ready so I am not sure yet. But I will once the black friday deals start coming out.

That's still a nice set. It does have HDR, so you won't feel left out.

I also didn't want to invest too much on this tech right now, since the standards are still in flux, but I also didn't want to feel left out when people start raving about how games and movies look with HDR. I did some research online and I settled on the XBR X800D. Based on my needs, (money vs features) it was a perfect fit.

The KU6290 seems to be close to the performance of the XBR X800D, so if your expectations are similar to mine, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

In any case, my recommendations would be:

- The Last of Us Remastered
- Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection
- Uncharted 4 (do the first 3 games before ^_-)
- Bloodborne
- Driveclub
- inFamous Second Son
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- Ratchet & Clank (phenomenal game)
- Batman Arkham Knight (although the batmobile parts can break the pace at times, it's still an awesome game)
- Dragon Quest Builder (it's really not like minecraft, despite the similarities)
- Journey
- Resogun (if you like arcade sh'mups, it's pretty addictive and a good challenge)

But it would help to know the game types you usually play.

I mostly like rpgs and action games when it comes to consoles. Not like FPS tho. I did get bloodborne today and having fun with that but I am looking for a really good one to test out the pro part.
