My argument for weed being legal is simple.
Fuck you, I like weed.
That's it. That's all there is to it. Medical benefits and economic benefits are completely beside the point. I enjoy blazing. If my behavior does not cause immediate serious harm, or serious and inevitable long term harm, then I should be free to do pretty much whatever I want.
We don't need some sort of special reason why we should be allowed to use marijuana, because we don't need any sort of special reason to allow people to do pretty much anything else. What we do need is a special reason to ban a behavior. And there just isn't any.
