I don't think it's as simple as fan or fanboy, there's varying degrees of fanboyism. There's those that are so insanely biased they lose all common sense and are positive about their chosen platform beyond reason, then there are certainly those that aren't quite so unreasonable, but still would never tell them to "feck off"
I view myself as a PlayStation & Nintendo fan, I can be harsh on Nintendo, because they deserve it.
