Shokugeki: First weekly update! *fist pumps*
Still not offiically announced, but it seems like Souma will advance. Seems like Hayama is about to learn that he can't fight alone, while Souma has finally redeemed his failure from the Autumn Election. Seeing him push even Jun away was sad...he really has tunnel vision right now.
One Piece: *heart beats*
Crap...I might ship Sanji/Pudding now...that was great. I wonder how far Luffy will get against Mom's army. Maybe Jinbe or Brook will return to help, or maybe Luffy will lose in his battered state.
Hero Academia: NO NO NO
Cute girl has Deku's blood...no wonder she was trying to get so close to him. This...really sucks. I wonder what she's going to do with this opening. Maye someone close to him will notice the change...like Ochako!!! (or more likely Bakugou grumble grumble)
On that note...I'm glad Bakugou lost as well. He's amusing sometimes, and has a lot of talent...but he's nowhere near ready to be a hero yet. Someone needs to knock him down a peg still...or maybe 10 pegs.
Fairy Tail: *blushes*
So...am I misreading this...or is the new villain using his power to damage only characters that have had sex before? That's awkward as all hell...but interesting that Hiro would show this I guess.
I need to re-read it, but it seemed like it only affected older characters like the adults and Laxus. It would fit, since this villain appears to be Mavis and Zeref's son, and both of them are being afflicted by the magic spell.
Kind of amusing that so few females were affected though; basically just Mavis and villains if I remember right. Gotta keep those waifus pure.
Seven Deadly Sins: *stares*
Well...Kiane is cute...but I have no idea what the hell just happened. Somehow the new missing Commandments snuck in...just to fight two opponents that should be beneath them? I know this story has felt like it was on auto-pilot for a while, but the means to get to this 2:2 fight just felt really forced and awkward.
Still...the penis joke at beginning was hilarious. And no Meliodas for a whole chapter! Woo hoo!

Eh...I agree that the journey is more interesting than the destination here, but Souma's overconfidence in the beginning just felt really grating to me. I get the underdog story...even if it seems like we have enough characters from middle-class backgrounds here already (Hayama, Ryou, Takumi...all of Polaris), but it's hard for me to relate to a hero that just smirks and wins 24/7. It's why I complain about Seven Deadly Sins so much. Winning is fine...but having zero vulnerabilities makes him hard for me to care about.
It makes it worse when the author would try and pretend the MC was losing early on...like in the match where he was Megumi's sous chef and treated it as an actual loss, or when he lost to Hayama in the prelims, only to have more chefs approve his cooking. It almost felt like the author was scared to give Souma a real loss..which fortunately changed as the story went on. Fortunately that does change with the climax of the Autumn Elections and Stagierre arc, and Souma actually becomes painfully aware of his limitations, and is forced to grow past them. It takes a while, but eventually he grows into a much more relatable character.
All my opinion I guess...I'm aware that not everyone minds the perfect MC trope. It's just something I find obnoxious.
