The biggest problem i have with your post is that the definition of what makes a game "casual" or "hardcore" is subjective. Same goes for gamers themselves. Personally I believe that games like Halo 3 or GTAIV are just as casual as mario kart, sure a lot of "hardcore" gamers play these games, but so do "casuals". The point of my original post was not about that, its about how all gamers start out new to the gaming world, and everyone adopts gaming to a different degree. So all the new gamers out there this gen very much could be a bigger gamer than you in a few years.
