Nope, I'd actually never played any Doom game prior to picking up DOOM this past Summer. I've played a lot of classic shooters, but somehow never got around to playing the father of them all.

But man, I get what you mean about the Saturn version. I feel like I'm about to throw up just from watching a few minutes of that. The GBA version looks great, though. The sound is particularly impressive. I remember most GBA games having kind of cruddy sound, especially when compared to the SNES, but Doom GBA holds up pretty well. I might have to try that out... I also see Ultimate DOOM on Steam. Is that the same as on SNES/GBA? It looks a little different to my eyes.

Do you have a PS3, Trunkin? That has Doom Classic Complete, which includes Ultimate Doom (expanded version of Doom), Doom II, Master Levels for Doom II, and Final Doom. Great collection.

It should also be on Steam.

I don't own a PS3, but my brother owns one, so I could always borrow his. Ofcourse I do prefer to play on PC whenever possible. I just looked it up, and they do have it on Steam for $15, and isthereanydeal.com says it has been as low as $3.74. I'll definitely be looking into buying it this coming Winter sale. I also just checked out some videos of Doom II. It looks sick! I don't understand why I never considered buying the rest of the series until just now.
