It still blows my mind that that game was running on a SNES. Insane.

I've never played it, though. XD

You've never played the original Doom? or the SNES version of it you mean? surely, I wouldn't even know where to start with what version of the original game to play if you haven't ever enjoyed it... I think I have it pretty much in every variation GBA/SNES/Saturn/32X (don't even own the addon, just had to buy the game) N64/X360/PSone Just... such a good game, I once done a side by side of the Saturn to GBA version of the game just to compare them framerate wise... ya know, obviously the GBA version was So much smoother to play, while graphically inferior the frame rate of the saturn game just makes it borderline unplayable and the saturn itself sounds as though it is about to die trying to render the game

Nope, I'd actually never played any Doom game prior to picking up DOOM this past Summer. I've played a lot of classic shooters, but somehow never got around to playing the father of them all.

But man, I get what you mean about the Saturn version. I feel like I'm about to throw up just from watching a few minutes of that. The GBA version looks great, though. The sound is particularly impressive. I remember most GBA games having kind of cruddy sound, especially when compared to the SNES, but Doom GBA holds up pretty well. I might have to try that out... I also see Ultimate DOOM on Steam. Is that the same as on SNES/GBA? It looks a little different to my eyes.
