I get what people are saying in regard to Sony's message of the PS4 Pro.

But at the same time it doesn't help me in considering to buy it since I don't know if it's worth dropping another $400 on it.

Also, I'm not sure what the implications are in the increased hardware. I can see how the increased power gets used in native, checkerboard, or temporal injected 4K since it's a demanding resolution and process. But for 1080p, is the Pro's power being used up in just super-sampling? I mean Uncharted 4 is getting super sampling, better shadows and better texture filtering, so no 60fps is understandable since it's current 1080p upgrades might be equivalent to the 4K resolution rendering. But take for example Rise of the Tomb Raider. It's getting two 1080p settings: 1080p 60fps but keep same graphics, and 1080p 30fps with better graphics (supersampling). I think the Pro's hardware allows for 60fps with some improvements in graphics, or, more than just supersampling (take Uncharted 4 for example).

And just today, Ratchet & Clank got Pro support. 4K temporal injected, or 1080p super sampling.

My point: is 1080p super sampling all the Pro can do, and is it equivalent in "using up" the hardware as 4K rendering? I have my doubts.
