I got a 4k TV yesterday (humble brag). I spent most of the day yesterday disconnecting my old consoles, zip tying cords together, vacuuming behind my entertainment center, moving furniture, etc. I calibrated it based on the settings from www.rtings.com and watched a few YouTube videos before going to bed. I hadn't played a game on it. I just connected the consoles and made sure they worked.
My thoughts: "Eh, it looks nice. More contrast and more vivid colors. Not really a huge difference.."
Well, I just fired up Tomb Raider Definitive Edition on my PS4. JESUS CHRIST! I was not prepared for this level of improvement!! And this is from a 2014/2013 game. This is what I've been missing out on!?! I can not wait until November 10th!!
